Rio Ferdinand names player who helped Man Utd beat Barcelona

Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has identified winger Antony as the player who helped the Red Devils defeat Barcelona 2-1 in the UEFA Europa League playoff second-leg tie on Thursday night.

A goal each from Antony and Fred gave Ten Hag’s side the victory over Barcelona.

In a video post on his Instagram account after the game, Ferdinand was quick to single out Antony for special praise.

He said, “Antony, Antony! That is what you want to see. People coming off the bench and making an impact.

“Not sulking, adding to the cause, getting us through to the next round. Here we go

“Man United are through to the next round after beating Barcelona who are top of La Liga.

“Let’s go! I am not getting carried away. I can feel something. Into the next round, calm, cool and collected. Let’s go man.”
