Talented singer and performer Divine Ikubor who is popularly known as Rema, has reacted to one of his numerous accomplishments which is his Guinness World Record with the song ‘Calm Down.’
On the 19th of May 2023, The Mavin star took to his social media page to talk about his Guinness World Record of being the first song to premiere on the IFPI’s newly formed MENA (Middle East and North Africa) chart.
The gifted vocalist has been slowly building a fan following since his debut, garnering recognition on a global scale, and shaking up most music charts with his hit song “Calm Down” as he racks up huge numbers on streaming charts.
Currently, “Calm Down” has received close to 388 million Spotify listens, while the popular remix with Selena Gomez has amassed an astounding 717,512,920 streams on the same service.
The song has received several nominations and constantly debuted at the top of the charts throughout the world, making it to the Top 3 in nations like Belgium, France, Portugal, and the Netherlands, among others.
His smash single ‘Calm Down,’ which has over one billion streams, became the first song to top the MENA music streaming chart. The numbers for the Middle East and North Africa chart were obtained from digital streaming platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, and others, which are available in 13 MENA countries.
