Man Utd get double boost ahead of Liverpool clash

Manchester United has been handed an important double boost ahead of their Premier League clash with Liverpool on Sunday evening at Anfield.

Man United manager, Erik ten Hag, on Friday confirmed that Luke Shaw and Jadon Sancho are expected to be available for Manchester United’s clash with Liverpool this weekend.

Shaw missed Man United’s FA Cup fifth-round victory over West Ham United on Wednesday as a result of a knock picked up last Sunday in the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United.

Sancho, meanwhile, also sat out of the 3-1 comeback win against West Ham United through illness.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of Man United’s clash with Liverpool, Ten Hag offered a positive update on both players.

The Dutchman said, “I think we will have players back, but I am not sure. Luke Shaw was not available, so we expect him back [for the Liverpool clash]. Sancho, yeah, he was ill, but you have to wait how that develops, but yeah, I think as well.”
