Nigerian Chef, Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy, has revealed her plans to have a cooking marathon for 150 hours very soon.

Speaking with newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital, on Friday, chef Dammy maintained her decision to break a Guinness World Record (GWR).

While acknowledging the support of stakeholders within and outside Ekiti state, the 300-level Mass communication student of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) noted that she is determined to break the world record with the 150-hour cooking marathon she is planning to in next few months.

This is coming after the Guinness World Records confirmed on Friday, June 16, about receiving Chef Dammy’s cook-a-thon application after disclosing that the chef did not apply before starting to cook in her 120-hour cookathon.

Chef Dammy in an interview with BBC Yoruba, stated that she did not cook for Guinness World Records or to be a record holder. She also said she was not competing with Hilda Baci.

Hilda Baci broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, with 93 hours and 11 minutes.
