Tiwa Savage, an award-winning Nigerian singer, is scheduled to perform at King Charles III of England’s historic coronation.
On Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey, King Charles III, and Queen Consort Camilla will be formally crowned. King Charles III is taking the throne after his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away last year.
On Sunday, May 7, 2023, the coronation concert and Big Lunch will be held.
Tiwa Savage will perform at the coronation concert alongside stars like Steve Winwood, DJ Pete Tong, Lang Lang and Lucy, Paloma Faith, and Olly Murs.
She becomes the first Nigerian artiste to receive an invitation to perform at a foreign royal coronation ceremony.
She is the only Nigerian among the few African artistes that were chosen to perform at the historical coronation.
