Afrobeat star, Tiwatope Omolara, better known as Tiwa Savage has taken to social media to commemorate her late father‘s posthumous birthday today.
You may recall that the Afrobeat queen announced the passing of the father on July 19, 2021.
Tiwa Savage claimed that it was a peaceful transition and that despite difficult years in the past, he battled valiantly to the very end.
The singer commemorated her father’s posthumous birthday by posting a photo on her Instagram story, almost three years after his passing.
Captioning the photo, she wrote: “Happy birthday daddy. Continue to rest in perfect peace❤️🕊️”
It is worth noting that Tiwa Savage also celebrated her 44th birthday on February 5.
She expressed her gratitude and affection to everyone who sent her messages and made her feel genuinely special on her birthday.
She wrote: “Thank you for all the love and messages. I’m trying to respond to all. Yesterday you all made me feel truly special ❤️”
