Popular Nollywood actress, Beverly Naya has reacted to the news of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi defeating APC’s Bola Tinubu in Lagos, his home state.
This is based on the collation of results at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Lagos State collation centre in Yaba. Obi polled 582,664 while Tinubu scored 541,850.
Reacting to the news, Beverly Naya applauded Lagosians for turning up and not forgetting the shuddering event that took place on 20th October, 2020 during the EndSARS protest.
Flooring Babajide Sanwo-Olu who is Governor of Lagos state for his support for Tinubu, Beverly stated that she is sure he is livid with the news.
She wrote:
“Lagosians showed up and showed out, this is for 20.10.20.
We didn’t forget and will never forget.
Sanwo Olu is shaking right now.”
