Afrobeat sensation Davido has expressed empathy and support for fellow artist Rema after the latter announced his decision to take a break from performing to prioritize his health.

After a spectacular O2 concert, Rema shared a heartfelt post on social media, disclosing his intention to step back from the stage for the rest of December.

He admitted neglecting his health during years of touring and declared his intention to recuperate until 2024.

In response to Rema’s announcement, Davido acknowledged the challenges that come with being an artist, emphasizing the physical and mental toll it can take.

He commended Rema, referring to him as his junior colleague, for making Africa and the world proud with his electrifying performances and music.

Davido conveyed his support to Rema, urging him to prioritize self-care and take the necessary time to recharge.

In a comment on Rema’s post, Davido wrote;
