Rema, who is in the middle of a stellar year, performed a combination of Calm Down and Holiday last night on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Rema, dressed in a basic white puffer jacket and jeans and backed by his band, sang a peaceful version of “Calm Down” before shifting into his spiritual dance track “Holiday,” which he released in February.
The artist captivated the audience with his performance as he harmonized both tunes.
The Fallon appearance follows all the success Rema has had with Calm Down and comes less than two months after he and Tems and Burna Boy led the NBA’s first-ever Afrobeat-themed halftime show over All-Star weekend.
Rema also released “Reason You” last month, and his debut album Rave & Roses, which included his original, solo version of “Calm Down” among 16 tracks, was released last March.
Rema’s song “Calm Down” became well-known throughout the world after spending many weeks on UK billboards.
The Fallons Show is hosted by American star Jimmy Fallon in New York.
Rema joins other Nigerian artists like Wizkid, Burna Boy, Ckay, Fireboy DML, Davido and Asake, who have given great performances on the Tonight Show.
