Popular singer, Davido speaks on his Grammy loss as he notes that being nominated was enough to make him proud of himself.
It would be recalled that the Afrobeats singer had lost 3 of his nominations at the 66th Grammy Awards.
While speaking on the experience, he said that having been nominated is enough to make him proud of himself and his craft.
He shared his father’s message to him. According to him, his father had told him that despite the fact that he had lost, remains a legend.
He stated this in an interview with Rolling Stone.
“Being nominated alone is enough to make me proud of myself. I just want my song to be heard on the radio once or twice in the beginning, but for it to transcend to this is just amazing and God’s doing.
“I was on the phone with my dad yesterday and he was like ‘Son no matter what happens, you are still a legend’. So yeah, he is a big fan,” he said.
