Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the public relations officer for the Nigerian Police Force, has reacted to Seun Kuti’s recent physical assault on a police officer.
It was earlier reported that the Grammy-nominated afrobeat singer was seen in a viral video attacking a police officer who was on duty.
Kuti revealed on his Instagram story that the reason he slapped the officer was because he tried to kill him and his family.
Reacting to the incident via his Twitter handle on Saturday, the police spokesperson described it as “unbelievable”.
Quoting a tweet of a concerned citizen who called his attention to the matter, Adejobi said such situations happen for people to learn lessons.
He promised to release an official statement on the issue soon.
He wrote,
“Seun’s Attack: The NPF will speak to this incident very soon. It’s unbelievable, but such happens for people to learn lessons. We shall be back.”
