Davido Reacts As Billboard Names ‘Timeless’ One Of The Best Albums Of 2023 So Far

Davido has shared his reaction to an article made by Billboard categorising his album ‘Timeless’ as one of the best albums of 2023 so far.

Multiple award-winning singer and performer David Adeleke, who is popularly known as Davido, took to his social media platform to react to a recent article shared by popular media outlet Billboard, where his fourth studio album Timeless was categorised as one of the best albums of the year 2023 so far.

Billboard had described the album as the most successful afrobeats album so far in the year 2023. The statement read:

Coming from of the titans of Afrobeats, Davido’s latest album is a masterpiece of the umbrella genre, incorporating Afropop, dancehall, high life, amapiano and hip-hop into the mix for a statement project that is arguably the finest of his career. The textures and production tie the album together and make it flow seamlessly through its milieu of styles without any feeling out of place.

There are moments of true beauty as well, like on the Morravey-assisted “In the Garden,” “Na Money” with The Cavemen and Angélique Kidjo and the standout No Competition” with Asake. It is, simply, the most accomplished Afrobeats album of 2023 thus far.

The singer could not his excitement following his successful performance at the Juneteenth 2023 festival in the US as he took to his social media platform to show his appreciation for the recognition. Billboard is, however, not the only international media outlet that has given Timeless its deserved recognition, as Rolling Stone magazine also categorised it as one of the best albums of 2023 so far.
