Chef Hilda Baci has been featured on the international news outlet CNN website, which has praised her for trying to beat the record for the longest cooking session.

Popular Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef, became the talk of the internet after embarking on a four-day expedition to surpass the longest cooking record set in 2019.

Lata Tondon, an Indian chef, was the first woman to hold the record for the longest time spent cooking. She had been cooking nonstop for 87 hours and 45 minutes.

On the other hand, Hilda Baci has broken that record by cooking for 100 hours, 55 recipes over 100 meals, and feeding over 3000 people.

Social media users, particularly Nigerians, are waiting for Guinness World Records (GWR) to recognize Hilda Baci as the new record holder formally.

Bassey told CNN that her desire to popularize Nigerian cuisine was what inspired her to try to break the record.

“Nigerian cuisine is the best out there,” she said. “The more recipes are propagated, the more people will be willing to try it. Nigerian food is such comfort food,” she added.
