Grammy Award-winning artist Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has left many in stitches after humorously rejecting a foreign delicacy and enthusiastically requesting a traditional Nigerian meal—eba and egusi soup.

During a recent food tasting interview with LADbible, the “City Boys” hitmaker had the opportunity to choose his preferred dish from a selection of both Nigerian and British culinary offerings.

In a standout moment, Burna Boy decisively turned down cauliflower cheese in the first round, expressing his dislike for its taste without even trying it, emphasizing that it did not appeal to his palate.

In the second round, pot noodles and eba with egusi soup were presented. Burna Boy, known for his love of jollof rice, sampled the pot noodles and commented on the need for a special sauce to enhance their flavor alongside jollof rice.

However, when the eba and egusi soup were presented, Burna Boy didn’t just sample them casually. Instead, he unwrapped the eba, grabbed a spoon, and immersed it into the soup, savoring spoonfuls. He mentioned that he hadn’t eaten all day and insisted that the food should not be taken away.

As the interview progressed through various rounds of meals, Burna Boy, before the show’s end, humorously requested the return of the eba and egusi soup, clearly indicating his preference for Nigerian cuisine. The entertaining episode showcased Burna Boy’s candid and humorous approach to food preferences.
