Burna Boy Makes History As First Ever Afrobeats Act To Perform At Grammys

Superstar Nigerian singer, Burna Boy shows off his A-game at the 2024 Grammy Awards while while being joined by Brandy and 21 Savage to deliver the first-ever Afrobeats performance at the prestigious event.

It is worth noting that the 66th edition of the Grammys was held at Crypto.Com in Los Angeles, attended by celebrities across the globe.

Burna Boy made a highlight at the event by performing his hit single, ‘Sittin on Top of the World’ and was later joined by American singer, Brandy and rapper, 21 Savage, to give an electrifying performance.

This has significantly impacted Nigerian music and African music as a whole, shining a global spotlight on Afrobeats and making history simultaneously.

Although Burna Boy lost all his four nominations at the Grammys 2024, but made a groundbreaking achievement as the first Afro-beat act to perform on the Grammys stage, marking a monumental milestone in his career.
