YBNL acts Asake and Olamide have set a new record with their entries on Nigeria’s biggest music chart TurnTable Top 100.
Asake has established himself as one of Afrobeats’ most dependable hitmakers since breaking into the forefront of the Nigerian music business in 2022. His upbeat genre-blending sound has moulded the soundscape and elevated him to superstardom.
The duo made history by holding the top two songs in Nigeria in the most recent edition of TurnTable Top 100 (chart week June 2 – June 8, 2023)—the only aggregate chart system in the country.
Olamide’s “New Religion” featuring Asake debuted at No. 2, while Asake’s “Amapiano” featuring Olamide spent its second week at the top of the chart.
Rema’s ‘Charm‘ falls to No. 3, followed by Zinoleesky’s new single ‘A1 (Feeling Disorder)’ and Seyi Vibez’s ‘Hat-Trick‘, which rises thirteen spots to No. 5.
Davido’s ‘Feel‘ falls three spots to No. 6, BNXN’s ‘Pray‘ drops three spots to No. 7, and Burna Boy’s ‘Sitting On Top of the World‘ debuts at No. 8.
